Chief Investment Officer - Jeremy Marshall

Jeremy will oversee the due diligence on all cases that are to be funded by Winward and will manage the business.

Jeremy has been involved in every facet of litigation funding for well over a decade. Whilst in private practice, his cases were funded by the likes of Therium, Vannin and Woodsford. He has been a Senior Investment Manager with Omni Bridgeway, a director of its UK business and was the company’s representative for the Association of Litigation Funding. He has also been the Chief Investment Officer of Bentham Europe Limited (now Innsworth Advisors) which was a joint venture between IMF Bentham Limited and Elliott Management.

Jeremy is a regular speaker and contributor at industry events and has been recognised by the main legal directories.

    Arndt is one of the most experienced litigation funders in Germany and beyond. In January 2000, he started at FORIS AG and from 2002-2012 he was the Managing Director of Allianz ProzessFinanz GmbH which became the European market leader in litigation funding. From 2012-21 he was the CEO of Roland ProzessFinanz AG which was ultimately purchased by Omni Bridgeway.

    Kees is a litigation and antitrust lawyer. He has over 25 years’ experience in competition matters, including advising on antitrust damages claims and counselling clients implicated in EU and national cartel investigations. Kees has acted on some of the largest cartel damages claims to date, including the Air Cargo, Elevators and Trucks litigation. Kees has lectured extensively on EU and competition law at various universities around Europe and is the author of several books and numerous articles on these subjects.

Co-insurers

Securing litigation finance is often only half the battle. Sufficient insurance may be an essential requirement. Winward has appointed Howden Broking Group Limited as its broker and Winward has agreed preferred terms with Arcadian Risk Capital Ltd and with Litica Ltd who will provide the necessary indemnities for adverse costs on a co-insured basis, subject to agreed terms.
